My name is Andy Austin, and I have been an integral part of the real estate industry for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I have successfully acquired licenses as an auctioneer, appraiser, and real estate broker in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. These credentials have opened avenues for professional growth and recognition, granting me the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, as well as the CAI, AMM, and AARE designations from the National Auction Association. At present, I am pursuing the CCIM designation to further elevate my expertise in commercial real estate sales.

My journey in the real estate industry began in 2005 when I joined an appraisal firm in Roanoke, VA. After gaining valuable experience, I transitioned to a larger private appraisal firm in Richmond in 2007. Eventually, in 2012, I took a leap of faith and established my own company, Austin Appraisal & Consulting. The culmination of my efforts came in 2013 when I completed the rigorous MAI designation. Throughout my career, I have conducted comprehensive appraisal assignments for diverse property types, spanning from multi-family and retail properties to special-purpose establishments and industrial sites. Moreover, my expertise extends to high-value residential properties and vacant residential, industrial, and agricultural sites. My valued clientele includes banks, attorneys, insurance companies, and private landowners and trusts.

In 2016, I acquired my auctioneer licensure in Virginia and founded Double A Auction & Realty, focusing on real estate auctions. As an active member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), I have remained committed to professional growth, consistently pursuing additional designations. In 2019, I attained the AARE designation as an Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate, followed by the AMM designation as an Auction Marketing Manager in 2020. Recognizing the importance of continuous development, I completed the extensive three-year CAI program offered by the NAA in 2023.

Beyond my involvement in real estate and personal property auctions, I possess specialized expertise in conducting simulcast auctions as a contract auctioneer. From bid calling to comprehensive auction management, my proficiency encompasses all aspects of successful simulcast events. Notably, I have handled asset dispositions involving seized real estate on behalf of the U.S. Marshals Service and facilitated the sale of tax-delinquent properties across various cities and counties in Virginia. This comprehensive experience covers the entire spectrum of auction marketing, from professional photography and building online auctions to implementing effective bidder approval systems, setting up audio/visual arrangements for live auctions, and utilizing state-of-the-art simulcast software. Throughout my career, I have engaged in simulcast auctions as a valued team member across a wide range of states, including Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Wyoming, and Montana.

April 2023 marked a significant milestone for Double A Auction & Realty as we expanded our services to include traditional real estate transactions. By obtaining licensure as a Virginia Real Estate Brokerage, we positioned ourselves to reach new horizons and provide the Double A Experience for accelerated real estate marketing. Moreover, I secured broker licensure in North Carolina and West Virginia in January 2024, further expanding our capabilities and expertise.

With my comprehensive certifications, extensive experience, and unwavering commitment to excellence, I am proud to offer best-in-class services across all facets of real estate consulting, from valuation and management to disposition. I am enthusiastic and eager to discuss your unique needs and provide the finest solutions tailored to your requirements.
